According to Nairobi Leo’s poll, the contest between President William Ruto and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka drew massive engagement online.
While opinions were divided, a large number of respondents expressed dissatisfaction with Ruto’s leadership, saying they would support any alternative candidate to prevent him from securing a second term.
Kalonzo’s name gained traction among his loyal followers, who described him as patient, experienced, and ready to bring stability.
However, analysts observed that much of his support appeared driven by anti-Ruto sentiment rather than genuine enthusiasm for his candidacy.
Meanwhile, a K24 TV poll surprised many after highlighting Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya as a fast-rising favorite.
The majority of participants dismissed familiar names such as Rigathi Gachagua, Fred Matiang’i, and Kalonzo Musyoka, instead praising Natembeya for his bold, action-oriented leadership and perceived integrity.
Respondents hailed Natembeya as the kind of decisive, untainted leader Kenya needs to restore accountability and address economic challenges.
His growing popularity among young voters has sparked speculation about his potential to emerge as a serious national contender.
On the other hand, The Kenya Times poll featuring Gideon Moi drew mixed reactions. While some credited him with experience and family legacy, many rejected the idea of another Moi presidency, insisting Kenya had moved beyond dynastic politics.
Taken together, these polls signal that 2027 could witness a major political realignment.
With growing voter fatigue toward established names, Kenyans appear eager for a fresh generation of leaders to redefine the nation’s political future.
