ODM Youth Leader Dares Sifuna to Prove Loyalty: “If You’re Man Enough, Quit”

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) youth politician Kasmuel McOure has taken a bold swipe at the party’s secretary general and Nairobi senator,

Edwin Sifuna, urging him to step down if he no longer believes in ODM’s principles.

Speaking on TV47 on Wednesday, October 22, McOure accused Sifuna of betraying the party’s .

Position on the proposed broad-based government, saying his recent statements showed signs of divided loyalty.

According to McOure, Sifuna should not continue serving in ODM leadership while publicly questioning the party’s direction.

He dared him to resign and seek a new mandate through another political party if he feels ODM is no longer the right fit.

“Edwin Sifuna, if you think you are a strong legislator and ODM is too retrogressive for you, then be man enough and resign from the seat that ODM gave you,” McOure said.

The youthful politician also faulted Sifuna’s calm response to Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga’s controversial remarks about the late Raila Odinga.

He described Sifuna’s reaction as weak, saying it forced ODM chairperson Gladys Wanga to take charge of the party’s response at a difficult time.

“When we needed a firm voice from ODM, Sifuna issued a very soft statement. Gladys Wanga.

Who was already standing with Raila’s family, had to handle everything alone,” McOure lamented.
