Trans nzoia Governor declares that I will establish entertainment, cultural as a ministry come 2027 polls if elected

Former Rift Valley Regional Commissioner turned politician George Natembeya has once again captured public attention after declaring that his government will establish ministry of Happiness, cultutaral and entertainment.

If elected in 2027, will establish a Ministry of Burudani, Utamaduni na Sanaa za Ubunifu, a ministry dedicated to protecting happiness, creativity, and the nation’s smiles.

His remarks have stirred excitement online, especially among Gen Z and creative youth across the country.

Natembeya said Kenya has been hit “left, right, and center” by stress, corruption, and poor governance, leaving citizens unhappy and hopeless.

He insisted that happiness should not be treated as a luxury but as a national right, and that his administration will make furaha an official government policy.

Natembeya, who has been positioning himself as a reformist voice and a fresh alternative in the 2027 political race.

Built strong appeal among young Kenyans who feel disconnected from traditional politics.

His talk of a “Ministry of Happiness” complete with a youthful Cabinet Secretary drawn from Gen Z — has been trending across TikTok and X.

With many praising his creativity and sense of humor in a tense political season.

Analysts say Natembeya’s idea, though unconventional, reflects a deeper frustration among Kenyans tired of high taxes, unemployment, and endless political bickering.

His message of joy and emotional wellbeing taps into the growing sentiment that Kenya’s biggest crisis is not just economic, but psychological.

Critics, however, have dismissed his idea as political theatrics meant to attract attention from the youth.

But supporters argue that a focus on mental health, art, and creativity could revive national morale, something the current administration has struggled to achieve.

As 2027 draws closer, Natembeya’s campaign of “turning sadness into policy” may just redefine how Kenyans think about leadership and happiness.
