“Kenyans Sent Me to Remove Ruto” – Sifuna Fires Explosive Warning at Linda Mwananchi Rally

Edwin Sifuna has openly declared that his push to remove President William Ruto from office in 2027 is not personal but a mission assigned to him by ordinary Kenyans struggling under the current administration.

Speaking during the “Linda Mwananchi” rally held at Amalemba Grounds in Kakamega, Sifuna told thousands of supporters that he is acting on the instructions of voters who feel burdened by the high cost of living, increased taxation, and harsh economic conditions.

“I was not sent to Nairobi to praise the President,” Sifuna said as the crowd cheered.

“The people who elected me sent me to defend them. They are tired, they are overtaxed, and they want accountability. I am only speaking their voice.”

The Nairobi Senator insisted that his criticism of the government is guided by the frustrations he encounters daily from wananchi. According to him, many low-income earners are struggling to make ends meet and have lost confidence in the country’s leadership.

“If Kenyans were comfortable, I would have no reason to fight,” he continued.

“But when mama mboga cannot afford basic commodities and young people cannot find jobs, we must stand up. That is why we are here — to protect the people.”

The rally brought together several leaders from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), including Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and Siaya Governor James Orengo. The leaders used the platform to dismiss any possibility of ODM backing Ruto’s re-election bid in 2027.

Sifuna’s remarks were received with loud cheers from supporters who filled the grounds, waving party flags and chanting slogans as speaker after speaker took to the podium.

The atmosphere reflected growing political tensions as the country gradually shifts focus to the next general election.
