Kileleshwa Member of County Assembly, Honorable Robert Alai, has accused Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna of using ODM leader Oburu Oginga.
Alai made the statement on Facebook while reacting to Sifuna's comments that ODM would field a candidate in the upcoming general elections in Kenya.
According to Sifuna, ODM Party leader and former Prime Minister of Kenya, the late Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, did not endorse President Ruto as his preferred presidential candidate.
Sifuna added that Raila made it clear that his party would remain in the broad-based government until 2027.
Dr. Oburu Oginga seconded Sifuna, urging supporters of the Orange Democratic Movement party to remain peaceful as they continued to mourn Raila.
Oburu also recounted Raila's last moments in India, saying that the former Prime Minister was supposed to head to Dubai before his death.
He expressed shock at his sudden passing, mentioning that they had spoken hours before he was informed about Raila's death.
Dr. Oburu said, "I'd like to urge our people to mourn Raila in peace.
We did not lie; Raila was well. I spoke to him in the evening; the next morning, I was shocked to hear that he was in critical condition."
